KRISTINA is an EU funded research project, which aims at developing technologies for a human-like socially competent and communicative agent. It runs on mobile communication devices and serves for migrants with language and cultural barriers in the host country.

Interview with our partners

With the first prototype, KRISTINA becomes a conversation partner, which can, within a carefully limited environment, understand spoken language in German, Spanish and Polish and it is capable of determining an appropriate response (e.g. answering specific questions, providing advice or reading some newspaper article) generating a natural language output voice for this response.

MMM 2017 - 23rd International Conference on MultiMedia Modelling

The 23rd International Conference on MultiMedia Modeling has started! Our technical partners are already in Reykjavik to present an interesting paper on "Description logics and rules for multimodal situational awareness in health care".

The first avatar is ready and our user partners have now the chance to test the KRISTINA’s functionalities. The intensive work of our technical partners on many innovative technologies is constantly in progress: the research is now focused on expressiveness, human-like gestures, emotional interaction, appropriate reasoning and quick reaction to any inputs received from the human side
